GRAFEN is a one-man joinery workshop in Hrabětice in the Znojmo region. Everything that leaves it has passed through one pair of hands: from the design and the choice of boards to installation in your home.
We work with solid wood, join it with traditional joints and let the surface breathe under natural oils. We care about local sourcing – we only use timber of certified origin. No veneer, no laminate, no compromises.
We believe good furniture only shows itself after twenty years. That is why we would rather make fewer pieces – the kind that get handed down.

Four things you do not see on a finished piece at first glance – and that decide how long it will last.
Pegs, tenons and lap joints instead of screws and fittings. A joint held together by wood does not loosen, even after years.
We do not hide cracks and knots. We stabilise them with inlaid butterfly keys of contrasting wood – and let them tell their story.
We let the surface breathe under natural oils. The wood still feels like wood, and a small scratch can be repaired locally.
Every finished piece is marked with a brass branding iron. It is a signature – and a guarantee that it passed through our hands.
Our own workshop with a saw, a jointer, a bandsaw and a workbench we built ourselves – with dog holes and tools within reach.
Customers come here to choose their timber and come back to see their piece taking shape. And from here we deliver it to its place. Visits by appointment.
